Chapter 2 gathers nine details that look like scenery on a first read and turn out to matter much later. Sirius Black is mentioned in the very first book, as the wizard who lent Hagrid a flying motorbike, two books before he appears. Harry talks to a snake at the zoo in book one, long before anyone knows he is a Parselmouth. In book two he hides in a cabinet at Borgin and Burkes; in Half-Blood Prince Draco uses a pair of these Vanishing Cabinets to let Death Eaters into Hogwarts, having learned how they work from what happened to Montague in Order of the Phoenix. Dumbledore mentions a room full of chamber pots in Goblet of Fire, which turns out to be the Room of Requirement. A heavy locket nobody can open is thrown out in Order of the Phoenix, and the tarnished tiara Harry puts on a bust in Half-Blood Prince is Ravenclaw’s diadem: both were Horcruxes. An opal necklace, Aunt Petunia’s slip about that awful boy and Ron’s rat complete the set. You spot the cabinet yourself, open an envelope and guess what the locket was.
30 Harry Potter Facts Even Potterheads Don’t Know is a set of unofficial fan stories in seven short chapters, each on its own page. Tap the right side of the screen for the next slide and the left side to go back, hold to pause, and use the button at the end of a chapter for the next one. Three parts are written live by AI and labelled: a read of your answers, the Restricted Section and a what-if scene. The AI is told not to invent facts and can still make mistakes; if it is busy, a hand-written text appears instead and says so.
Every fact was checked on 14 October 2026 against pages we opened, all listed on the first page: Wikipedia’s articles on the books, the characters, the film locations and the HBO series, the official Harry Potter website’s feature on sentences that turned out to matter, and the Harry Potter Lexicon. The pictures are open-licence photos from Wikimedia Commons and our own drawings; no film stills or official art are used. Your answers stay in this browser tab and are cleared when you close it.
